A Picture Window is also frequently referred to as a “Slim Profile”. It is a window that cannot be opened. It’s function is limited to allowing light to enter the room. It is also designed and built on the single slider profile. Consequently, it’s interior and exterior appearances are very similar to the single slider and single hung window. Therefore, it is recommended to be used in a combination together with the single hung or single slider windows when needed. Picture windows can also be used as transom fixed units. This type of window is used in situations where light or visibility alone is needed as no ventilation is possible.
